Sharing your content on the right platforms is crucial to your success. True success of an online business starts with the platform. Are you running a self hosted site or using a sub domain? You want one that is scalable as your business grows.

Same goes for social media platforms. Are you using your personal account to market your business? If so, you should invest the time and upgrade to a business account. These provide more flexibility, scalability, and analytics.

2. Create a calendar

Planning your social media marketing is crucial to your success. Everyone has a goal for their business. Are you planning in course with your goal?

As a business owner or brand you should be planning out your posts in a calendar by month, quarter or even year. I plan mine out by month and there has been times I planned out for the quarter.

Share little known fun facts. Share feeling provoking posts.

8. Create eye catching images

Platform such as Instagram and Pinterest rely on images. The more eye catching and pleasing the image the greater chance it will be read or engaged.

9. Be consistent

Utilize your brand fonts and colors throughout all posts and images

10. Create contest or giveaways

These are a no-brainer for brand awareness. The easiest giveaways are those where the fans have to do very little to enter. This creates reader engagement.
